Mountain Biking offers various challenges. Based on your health condition, experience, and endurance, not all may suit you. Some of the events also provide critical training sessions, and others offer a relatively easy challenge for starters. Here are some of the lined-up activities that may interest you.
Bike the Remutaka Family Day
This is a one-day event to be held on 28th March 2020 at the Pakuratahi Forest in the Wellington Region. This 18 Km ride takes you through the ancient railway bridges, including the Siberia suspension bridge, as you get a taste of the historic tunnels. If you are looking to come with your family, this event has no age restriction making it perfect.
The Little Easy Central Hawke’s Bay 2020
This event will take place on Friday, 10th April 2020 and is a family-friendly event with no age restrictions. It offers either a 12 Km challenge along the Rotary River Pathway or another grade 2 track that is also available. The course kicks off at Russel Park passes through Tukituki bridge, then turns to the northern side of the river and finishing off at the Russel park. If you are looking to have fun without much strain, then this is perfect.
Kiwi Sprocket Rocket Training Program
If you are looking to improve your riding skills, these sessions to be held on 23rd March, 30th March or 6th April are a fit for you. This event takes place at Hamilton BMX Club with no age restrictions.
These sessions are great as they help members and non-members acquire skills before being able to handle various terrains in the field.
Kids Learn to Ride
This event will take place on 4th April and 2nd May 2020 on Greville Reserve, Forrest Hill, in Auckland. This is a great event as it will help hone your child’s cycling ability working in tandem with the instructors. The event will have no gate charges.
